Chris Baines Speaking at the Royal Horticultural Society

13th Feb, 2007

Urban Wildlife Network President Chris Baines is talking about 'Gardening for People and Wildlife' at the RHS's Lawrence Hall in Westminster on Tuesday 3 April at 2.15pm. His talk is part of the Growing for Success series.

Chris will explain why gardens work so well for wildlife, and highlight the importance of links from gardens to urban infrastructure including parks, railways and canals, rivers and the whole mosaic of open spaces and wildlife habitats. He will be giving practical advice about plants, nesting boxes, mini-meadows and garden ponds. After the talk he will be signing copies of his well known book 'How to Make a Wildlife Garden'.

Tickets cost £5 (£4 to RHS members). Further details available from bethanysmall@rhs.org.uk

(You might also find details on the RHS website - www.rhs.org.uk - but we gave up after following several likely looking routes in their events finder section. Even the list of Growing for Success events failed to turn up this one.)
